Magnus-Metal Ltd. is an early-stage start-up company, developing a new “Additive Casting” process for the
manufacturing of large metal parts. The process outputs cast metal parts based upon the customer’s CAD file.
Our development machine has proven the technology and process, and we are currently recruiting excellent
professionals to join our multi-disciplinary R&D team on the path to industrializing the solution.
Job Summary:
R&D System Integrators participate in multiple development and research projects of Digital Casting systems, modules and test set-ups mainly focused on assembly, testing and integration of systems and modules.
R&D System Operators are in charge of operation and maintenance of Digital Casting production systems working in R&D environment.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist engineers with product and process design, development, testing and optimization
- Design and build fixtures and tooling for product and modules testing
- Perform equipment installation and qualification
- Be responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting of lab instruments/equipment
- Perform production line upgrades and equipment maintenance as needed
- Troubleshoot issues with help of Engineering and Operations team members
- Monitor and report all operational equipment, and ensure optimal system performance
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Mechanical/Electrical/Control Technician/Practical Engineer Diploma required with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as R&D technician in multidisciplinary systems environment
- Experience using sketches, CAD, etc. to support the design and build of fixtures - Advantage
- Machine shop experience is preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Ability to analyse and solve problems
